On Friday June 10th, 2011:

Course 4.1: Paroxysmal EEG: Undiagnosed non-convulsive epilepsy in LD and PDD

Raw EEGs and quantitative processing of the EEGs will be done on clients complaining of LD and PDD showing the impact of paroxysms on brain function.

On Friday June 17th, 2011:

Course 4.2: Artifacts and the EEG and the QEEG

A review of various artifacts as they actually appear in the EEG in actual recordings is a superior method of learning about artifacts.  Seeing them dynamically, not merely as as a static image in a text, allows for the manipulation of the EEG signal (and the artifacts) using remontaging and filtering, as well as identifying ways to remove artifacts from the EEG.

Pulse artifacts, cardioballistics, eye blinks, eye roll, lateral eye movements, electrode baseline drift, EMG, determining EMG-Vs-beta spindles, respiratory sway, electrode pops, and the presence of various EEG variants like Lambda and "false frontal alpha" will be reviewed.

The impact of remontaging and the impact of ICA de-artifacting on actual clinical EEGs will be included, so the attendees will be able to evaluate the impact of these emerging techniques based on their experience with actual clinical data, and not merely theory or mathematical proofs.

Expert Series 5: Nutritional Intervention and Dietary Supplementation

Course 5.1: Dietary Supplementation to Enhance Neurofeedback Efficacy

As you know, many clients are either using or have questions about dietary supplements. Nutritional supplements can be a valuable adjunct to a neurofeedback practice for several reasons including enhanced patient outcome, efficacy of treatment and as an additional source of revenue. This class will teach you how to use specific dietary supplements to support individualize treatments and the knowledge you need to begin making recommendations.

On Thursday August 4th, 2011 & Thursday August 11th, 2011 (2, 1 Hour Sessions)

Course 5.2: Nutritional Interventions to Enhance Neurofeedback Training

Nutritional imbalances can impair mental functioning.  This class will help you assess the nutritional status of your clients through key questions and case history to determine their nutritional needs and further enhance the efficacy of neurofeedback.  This class will provide you with the skills to begin incorporating nutritional interventions into your treatment plans to enhance client outcomes, satisfaction and individualized care that you can begin in your practice right away.
